Review by hotel critic
The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, which was a bonus for our late arrival. We were pleased to find free parking available, making it easy to come and go as needed. Working remotely was effortless, thanks to the reliable Wi-Fi that kept up with our demands - be it video calls or handling documents on the go. The comfortable lounge area also provided a nice backdrop for informal meetings, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere to spark creativity. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant which catered perfectly to our busy schedules. Breakfast featured various options, from a full English to fresh fruits, setting us up for the day ahead. The evenings provided a chance to unwind, with meals that were nourishing and reasonably priced, ideal after a long day of meetings. Though I didn't bring my family, I noted that they offer a children's menu and cots, making it family-friendly, should you wish to blend business with leisure. The Cocked Hat is a solid choice for business travel, with amenities that cater to both work and a bit of relaxation.
